NADJA is not my favourite release by this band, but nevertheless an interesting EP.
Jaguar on the A-side is a quiet drone track that slowly builds into a varied soundscape. Not really my cup of tea. The title track however with its slow-paced drum and dominant lead guitar is great. If you listen to this, you'll understand why people call
Nadja a shoegaze band. Both songs clock in over 19 minutes. The EP was recorded in the studios of
Southern Records for a series they have, called
Latitudes. Only 1000 copies were made of this.
