Fleeting Joys - Despondent Transponder [12", LP]

The first time i heard FLEETING JOYS, i was flabbergasted. How could a band sound so much like My Bloody Valentine, yet still be original? On their first release DESPONDENT TRANSPONDER (and the only one released on vinyl so far, 4 years after its original CD release), most of the songs sound like outtakes from MBV's masterpiece Loveless. The band consists of a couple (John and Rorika Loring) from Sacramento, California. Their CD's were issued on both their own Only Forever Recordings and Japan-based Thomason Sounds, but this vinyl edition was released on Norwegian small indie label Fat People Are Harder To Kidnap Records. Only 300 copies, handnumbered, on white vinyl. Amazing stuff.
